Monitoring the New Carquinez Bridge

Project Synopsis: The nees@UCLA field data acquisition system was deployed to monitor the new Carquinez Bridge near Vallejo, CA just days before its grand opening. The project objectives were to perform system identification of the bridge using data collected from ambient and truck-induced vibrations. Approximately 70 channels of Episensor accelerometers and Q330 data loggers were employed over a span of approximately 1.2 km.
